JA Newfoundland and Labrador seeking Program Managers

Junior Achievment (JA) of Newfoundland and Labrador is a registered charity with a mandate to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy by providing youth with opportunities to learn financial literacy, prepare for the workplace, and develop entrepreneurial skills.  We are seeking self-starting, results-oriented and forward-thinking individuals to join the team to assist with a core organizational function of program management.

As part of the Junior Achievement team, Program Managers will be accountable for the coordination of JA programs.  Duties include recruiting, training and developing volunteers; liaising with schools and the business community; conducting presentations; building and nurturing relationships with JA partners; collecting and managing program data; and other organizational duties, as needed.  Some evening work and/or provincial travel will be required.

Qualifications and Skills:  We are looking for a degree in the social sciences, business, education and/or equivalent education and experience.  You must have excellent organization and communication skills (verbal and written); be keenly aware of youth matters, specifically related to entrepreneurship, financial literacy and workforce readiness; have strong knowledge of the economy, education system, and relationship management.  Experience managing programs, working with volunteers and proficiency in MS Office applications are assets.
